TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

TOEFL

TOEFL is a language proficiency test accepted by over 9000 top universities worldwide as proof of English proficiency. Indian students take this test to assess their Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing skills. TOEFL is taken for various purposes, such as obtaining a high school degree, bachelor's degree, job, or higher education. Indian students often choose TOEFL over IELTS due to their higher scores on this test, and the process does not include interviews, and scores are anonymous. According to ETS, Indian candidates score an average of 24 out of 30 in Speaking, Writing, and Listening, but they struggle with intense vocabulary in the Reading section. With an overall average score of 95, candidates can secure admission to Tier 2 colleges in the USA and Canada.

TOEFL iBT Home Edition

Most candidates prefer the convenience and fewer resources required for the TOEFL iBT. To accommodate those who are unable to reach the TOEFL test centers due to the COVID-19 outbreak, ETS has introduced the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition, which is available worldwide except in Mainland China and Iran. The format and scoring method of this test are identical to the general TOEFL exam, and it is monitored by a human proctor through ProctorU.
